At Mika Atelier, every garment is carefully handmade, quality checked, and prepared specifically for each customer. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.

By placing an order, paying a deposit, or making full payment, you agree to the terms below alongside our full Terms & Conditions of Order.

Returns

We have a 14 day return request policy for eligible ready-to-wear items. This means you must contact us within 14 days of delivery to request a return.

To be eligible for a return:

* The item must be unworn, unused, unwashed, and in its original condition
* All tags, packaging, garment bags, and accessories must be included
* The item must be free from makeup, perfume, deodorant, smoke, stains, marks, or damage
* Proof of purchase or order confirmation is required

Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.

If your return is approved, we will provide return instructions and the return address.

Strict No Refund / No Return / No Exchange Policy for Custom & Made-to-Order Items

Due to the handmade and customized nature of our garments, all bespoke, customized, altered, personalized, pre-order, and made-to-order items are final sale and are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-exchangeable.

This includes:

* Custom sizing
* Sleeve modifications
* Neckline changes
* Length adjustments
* Colour customisations
* Design alterations
* Any item made specifically for a customer
* Pre-order items
* Bridal or occasionwear made to request

We do not offer:

* Refunds
* Returns
* Exchanges
* Cancellations
* Discounts or compensation

for:

* Colour or shade differences
* Fabric texture or finish differences
* Embroidery, lace, border, trim, or embellishment variations
* Minor stitching or handmade variations
* Placement differences in motifs or embellishments
* How garments appear under different lighting
* Differences caused by photography, editing, or screen displays
* Personal preference after receiving the item
* Fit preferences or sizing expectations
* Delays outside our control
* Natural fabric odours from packaging or shipping

All garments are handmade and not mass-produced. Minor variations are a normal part of custom garment production and do not qualify as faults.

Colour, Fabric & Design Variations

By ordering from Mika Atelier, customers acknowledge and accept that:

* Exact colour matching to samples, photos, videos, mannequins, or previous orders is not guaranteed
* Fabrics, linings, embroidery bases, trims, and lace may absorb dye differently
* Lighting, photography, editing, and device screens can affect colour appearance
* Slight differences may occur in:
    * Shade and tone
    * Thread colour
    * Embroidery patterns
    * Lace patterns
    * Borders and trims
    * Stitching
    * Motif placement
    * Fabric texture

Materials, trims, lace, borders, or embellishments may occasionally be replaced with the closest available alternative if originals become unavailable.

Items are created to resemble the chosen sample/design but will not be identical.

These are standard textile and handmade garment variations and are not considered defects, faults, or incorrect items.

Sizes, Measurements & Fit

All garments are produced according to the sizing or measurements provided by the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Measurements are used as a size guide only.

We do not guarantee an exact fit.

We are not responsible for:

* Incorrect measurements submitted by customers
* Weight or body changes after ordering
* Fit preferences
* Differences caused by fabric structure, embroidery weight, borders, or panel designs

We do not provide complimentary alterations unless agreed separately in writing.

Customers are responsible for checking sizing carefully before ordering.

Damages, Faults & Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.

If you believe your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, you must contact us within 48 hours of receiving your parcel so we can evaluate the issue and make it right where appropriate.

We may request:

* Clear photographs/videos
* Packaging photos
* Shipping label photos
* Proof the item has not been worn or altered

We reserve the right to inspect all items before approving any repair, replacement, partial refund, store credit, or refund.

The following are not considered faults:

* Minor handmade variations
* Colour differences
* Embellishment placement variations
* Fabric texture variations
* Natural fabric odours
* Loose threads that do not affect wear
* Slight measurement tolerance differences

Items altered, washed, dry cleaned, ironed, perfumed, damaged, or modified by third parties will not qualify for any claim.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

* Bespoke or customised garments
* Made-to-order items
* Personalised products
* Sale or discounted items
* Gift cards
* Items showing signs of wear or use
* Beauty or personal care products
* Items damaged after delivery
* Products altered by third parties

Please contact us before ordering if you have questions about a specific item.

Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges.

The fastest way to receive another item is to return an eligible approved return and place a new order separately.

Deposits & Cancellations

No order is confirmed until payment or deposit is received.

Once payment is made, fabrics and production materials are often ordered immediately.

Deposits are:

* Non-refundable
* Non-transferable

Orders cannot be cancelled once production has started.

Cancellation requests after payment may result in partial or full loss of payment depending on production stage.

Delivery & Shipping

Delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

* Couriers
* Customs checks
* Shipping providers
* Weather conditions
* International transit delays

Customers are responsible for ordering early enough for their event or occasion.

Once an order has been dispatched, responsibility passes to the courier and customer.

We are not responsible for parcels delayed, lost, stolen, or damaged during transit.

Any customs fees, taxes, duties, or import charges are the customer’s responsibility and are non-refundable.

Refused Deliveries & Uncollected Parcels

If a parcel is:

* Refused
* Abandoned
* Returned due to unpaid customs charges
* Returned due to incorrect address information
* Uncollected after delivery attempts

any shipping fees, return costs, customs charges, or handling fees may be deducted from any eligible refund.

Alterations & Third Parties

We are not responsible for issues arising after garments are altered, adjusted, repaired, or modified by third parties.

Garment Care

We are not responsible for damage caused by:

* Washing
* Dry cleaning
* Ironing
* Steam damage
* Perfume or deodorant
* Makeup or body products
* Improper storage or handling

Customers are responsible for caring for garments appropriately.

European Union & UK Consumer Rights

If your order is shipped into the European Union or United Kingdom, you may have certain statutory rights under applicable consumer laws, including a possible 14-day cooling-off period for eligible non-custom goods.

However, exemptions permitted by law for customised, personalised, and made-to-order items will still apply.

Returned items must still be:

* Unworn
* Unused
* In original packaging
* With tags attached
* Accompanied by proof of purchase

Nothing in this policy removes any rights you are legally entitled to.

Refunds

We will notify you once we have received and inspected your approved return and let you know whether the refund has been approved.

If approved:

* Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
* Please allow up to 10 business days for processing
* Your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless legally required.
